"The Story of Stuff"

http://www.storyofstuff.com/

My former roommate Dustin Hill introduced me to this website and it has help me know a little bit more about how we as consumers are contributing negatively to global pollution. In my opinion people let their politcal views get in the way of what is really going on in the world.

"Well that Al Gore is a democrat and is making up this global warming stuff to push his agenda. Them democrats want to abort our babies and make gay marriage legal."

The environment is not about that, its about all of us. Don't think the environment is a left winged political agenda. The story of stuff helps educate why we don't need so much stuff. Can we take stuff with us when we die, no! Can we leave things better for our children when we die, yes. If you believe in families and a better world; educate yourself. We need to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Every little bit helps. Be conscious of how you may be effecting the world.

Don't let politics tell you that we are not in a global crisis. Reduce consumption! Take a look and educate yourself. Do what you can to help and don't live in ignorance.

Family, Isn't It About Time

We recently welcomed a new kid to the family. David was born a couple of months ago but didn't officially become apart of our family until last week. My brother Scot and his wife Lorelei adopted David and had him sealed to them in the SLC Temple. My grandpa died the week previous so a lot of family was in town for the funeral and were also able to participate in this joyous occasion. Thanks to Dustin Bradbury for the photos @ www.dustinbradbury.com

Lorelei likes the kid and I think its mutual.

But I think Scot prefers vanilla ice cream

Family and friends in front of the temple including the birth mother and her parents.

Tickle Me David

This is my favorite, they should hang this on the wall.

Brothers and Sisters, hey thats a show on ABC! Then there's me on the side standing by myself.

Pants Off Everywhere

Last week my mom tipped me off to this story on KSL news about a group of people planning to take their pants off on trax. It was part of Improv Everywhere (www.improveverywhere.com) which is based out of New York. I was first introduced to this group from This American Life on NPR. When I heard they were doing a nationwide stunt and Salt Lake was included I knew I had to be a part of it. So I put on my best boxers went downtown on Saturday afternoon (Jan 12th) to meet up with the other "agents". There were initially about 15 of us who received instructions but there ended up being many more who would participate. There were people there ranging from 12 to like 60 years old. I boarded trax with the rest of them and people proceeded to take off their pants. At first I was reluctant to take off my pants because the man across from me I believe was a undercover cop. He made the round trip with us from the Energy Solutions Arena to the court house stop and back. But none the less I took my pants off and read my magazine on that ride. It was a sunny day so it wasn't too bad to be just sporting my boxers. As we boarded the train back to the arena I noticed that there must have been anywhere from 30 to 40 of us. Even some good looking girls sported some panties, no thongs because that would be indecent. The media was on board making the trip with us . The media ranged from print to TV. I happen to make it on KTVX ABC 4 news (link provided). All in all I was happy to have made the trip and participated in this fun event. I would like to see more Improv Everywhere events here is Salt Lake City.

Verrucktheit

In high school we made a video which spoofed ER. We showed it at an assembly and it was a hit. So we thought a sequel needed to be made. The problem was we lost half of our cast midway though the taping. Some of them thought playing tennis was more important. But in the end Brit Cannon and I made this bit. No real story other than I wanted to be some German guy. The video was never made for the assembly and the footage was thought to be lost. Ten years later thanks to Matt Ward, who found this footage, was able to make this footage into something magical. Matt made some great choices with music and put in some sweet special effects to make Verrucktheit. In the video I pop up more than once as a different character. Also watch Brit's hair as he clenches the fan as he falls in agony. Now enjoy the show.

Library Pirate!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I have found the best way to get music for free and not feel like an internet pirate. Go to the Library. It's a great place for music and fun. "Fun!" you say? Yes so much fun because you can get music, download it onto your laptop. Then when you are done, you can head out and get some more. If you don't have a laptop then check out some music and take it home. Its not stealing, its borrowing from the government, your local government. I even found my friend Pete's Theta Naught album in the local music section. The library can open so many doors. There are some cute librarians too. There is this one girl with a funky accent who helps me find music. The library is soo much fun. "But don't take my word for it, bah duh dat" (Reading Rainbow)

Josh took this pic on my laptop back in December but I thought I should post it anyway. "Heeeed! Pants! Now!"

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted on the website. Life is great and I just recently made a sweet cross country journey from Orlando to Salt Lake. Yeah was the third time that I have made that drive. My friend Shelly was moving back to Utah from Orlando so I decided to give her some company on the drive.
Well, a friend of mine found this video on Youtube and its from Give Kids the World out in Kissimee, Florida. I used to DJ monthly and a guest took this video and posted it. We are doing the Men In Black dance. Enjoy!
